There will be demonstration dancing, sampling of various Native American cuisine, and crafts. Admission is $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 – 12, and free for members or children under 3.
Woodcraft will host the Central Illinois Woodturner’s Turning from 8:45 – 5 pm. Members of CIW will demonstrate techniques and host hands on sessions on how to make bowls, boxes, vases, ornaments and other items from wood using a lathe. A short documentary film on David Halberstam’s The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War, will premiere on Sunday at the Apollo Fine Arts & Entertainment Center at 2 pm. After the movie, Korean War veterans will give brief talks and refreshments will be provided. Admission is free and for more information call 673-4343.
The Central Illinois Jazz Society presents Jane Hartman and the CIJS House Band at the Radisson Hotel Sunday from 6 pm – 9:30 pm. Admission is $7 for general public, $5 for members, and free for children 14 and under. For more information, call 691-3259.
On Wednesday the Peoria Civic Center will present Beethoven Lives Upstairs, a live stage show featuring the Peoria Symphony and a traveling tour from Classical Kids Entertainment.
