Accidental Death of an Anarchist opens tonight at the Bradley Hartmann Center for the Performing Arts at 8 pm. Performances continue Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm. The Barn II Theatre’s presentation of “The Sunshine Boys” also opens tonight with shows continuing Friday and Saturday. Comedian Auggie Smith will perform at the Jukebox Comedy Club tonight at 8 pm for $8. He returns Friday and Saturday night with shows at 8 pm and 10:30 pm for $14. This show is rated R.

Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Wildlife Prairie State Park on Friday in the Civic Center Ballroom. Cocktails begin at 5:30 pm, dinner is at 6 pm. Willow Knolls Theatre continues their series of the Met Opera Live with the performance “La Fille du Regiment.” The show premieres Saturday at 12:30 pm with an encore showing Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. concerts, violinist André Rieu is in concert tonight at the Civic

The John Davis Choral Festival takes place all day on Friday and
fininshes on Friday night with the Kenwood Academy Concert at

Threepenny Opera continues tonight through Saturday at Eureka

Friday night kicks off the Prairie Air Show at the Greater Peoria

The NAWW Straw Expo will take place at the Ramada & Conference
Center this weekend. Promoting the art of wheat weaving, the event

Coach Cowdry & the Peoria Pirates are back in town and kick off
their season on Saturday when they’ll play the
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers at the Peoria Civic Center at 7:05

The Forest Park Nature Center will host an Earth Day Celebration

On Saturday, watch a Bison Grounds Blessing Ceremony at Wildlife
Prairie State Park from 9 am – 4:30 pm. Witness the sacred Native
American Ceremony of blessing the Park’s bison and their summer

The Clean Water Celebration will take place at Riverfront on
Sunday with 4 different events. This unique event that began in
Peoria and is now being modeled across the country, includes the
Parade of Waters beginning at Noon, a 3 mile Walk for Earth, Wind &
Water beginning at 1 pm, the Teaming Up for Clean Water River
Cruise and a dinner/lecture featuring Dr. Jackqueline Quinn, an
award-winning NASA environmental engineer who will present “A
Slippery Solution to Environmental Contamination” at the Packard

The ICC Jazz Band directed by Larry Harms will perform on Sunday at

Guarini, Kimberly Caldwell and Gina Glocksen will make an
appearance on Saturday too. Tickets for Friday night are $18 and

The Peoria Jaycees presents its 16th Annual International Beer Fest

The Peoria Metro New Car Dealers Association hosts the Central
Illinois Auto Show Friday through Sunday at the Peoria Civic
Center. With over 300 vehicles on display, hours are Noon–9 pm on
Friday, 10 am–9 pm on Saturday, and 10 am–6 pm on Sunday .
Admission is $4 ages 16 & up and 15 & under is free with a paid

Puccini’s La Boheme, part of the Met Opera Live in HD series, will
be broadcast in HD on the big screen at Willow Knolls 14 Theater on

The Johnny Burnett Trio will peform at Po Boys on Saturday from
