Peoria Historical Society’s Grandview Drive & Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive and takes place every Friday in August beginning at 11 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights).  The “Abraham Lincoln & the Civil War Tour” tells the story of Lincoln’s visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp Lyon where they trained. The Italian-American Society of Peoria’s 86th Summer Festa Picnic will take place at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 North Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) on Sunday from noon – 6 pm.
