The Opera Illinois League presents its annual Yule Walk through five beautiful homes professionally decorated for the holidays by area businesses Today from 10 am to 9 pm. Shuttle bus transportation between the houses is available starting at the Metro Center, 4700 N. University in Peoria.
The Barn II Dinner Theartre production of Two Into One begins tonight at 6 pm. The show will continue through December 31 and productions include Thursday-Saturday nights at 6 pm and Sunday matinees at noon. Tonight is opening night of the Tennessee Williams’ show The Night of the Iguana at Bradley University’s Harmann Center for the Performing Arts beginning at 8 pm. The production also runs Friday and Saturday night at 8 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm, Tickets are $14 for the general public, $12 for faculty, staff, and seniors, and $7 for students. The Peoria Rivermen will continue their hockey season Friday night at 7 pm by playing the Iowa Stars at the Civic Center Arena. The Rivermen will also play the Rockford Icehogs on Saturday night at 7 pm. The Junior League’s Julep’s Closet sale takes place at the Riverplex this weekend. Friday is Twice the Price Night from 5 – 8 pm. Admission is $1 but the prices are doubled. Saturday from 9 am – 3 pm admission is $1. Sunday from 11 am – 1 pm admission is $1, and from 1 – 3 pm is the Bag Sale. Fit as much as you can in a $3 or $10 bag with free admission.

In Honor of the Native Americans who helped the first settlers, Wildlife Prairie Park will host Remembering Day Saturday from Noon – 3 pm. There will be demonstration dancing, sampling of various Native American cuisine, and crafts. Admission is $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 – 12, and free for members or children under 3.
Woodcraft will host the Central Illinois Woodturner’s Turning from 8:45 – 5 pm. Members of CIW will demonstrate techniques and host hands on sessions on how to make bowls, boxes, vases, ornaments and other items from wood using a lathe. A short documentary film on David Halberstam’s The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War, will premiere on Sunday at the Apollo Fine Arts & Entertainment Center at 2 pm. On Wednesday the Peoria Civic Center will present Beethoven Lives Upstairs, a live stage show featuring the Peoria Symphony and a traveling tour from Classical Kids Entertainment.
