The Peoria Marathon will start and end at the Peoria Civic Center on Sunday beginning at 11:30 am. The registration fee is $80 for the marathon, wheelchair marathon or half marathon. The 48-Hour Filmmakers Fest will take place on Friday beginning at 5 pm through the Peoria Riverfront Museum where the theme, a line of dialogue and an object that must be included in each submission will be emailed to all who have registered to participate. The Festival is a competition that gives aspiring filmmakers of all ages the chance to create a 3-5-minute movie in just 48 hours including writing, editing and sound design. There is no cost to participate and the winner will receive $500 plus 2 free passes to any and all movies at the Giant Screen Theater for one year.
