A Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing Party will take place at Sun Plaza at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Monday from 11:30 am – 1:45 pm. The Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 will be visible in a narrow path across the United States and in Peoria, the sun will be 93% eclipsed by the moon. Activities include looking through solar telescopes & pinhole projectors, astronomy experts available to answer questions, family activities, eclipse viewing shades & snacks available for purchase plus real-time streaming of the total solar eclipse in the Dome Planetarium. Admission is free for most activities, however regular admission applies to Museum galleries and planetarium shows (eclipse streaming is free).
