The 2017 48-hour Filmmaker Fest will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum Friday through Sunday. On Friday at 5 pm, this year’s theme will be announced along with a line of dialogue and an object that the film must include. Filmmakers will then have 48 hours to create a 3 – 5 minute film to submit. The top 25 films will be screened at the Giant Screen Theater on Saturday, October 28 at 6 pm where the winner, runner-up as well as a “people’s choice” winner will be announced. An Old Time Folk and Country Jam will take place at Forest Park Nature Center (located at 5809 N Forest Park Dr. in Peoria Heights) on Sunday from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Bring your guitar, fiddle, banjo or other acoustic instrument down to the Nature Center for a jam session. Meet other musicians and learn some new songs.
